Legends of Leisure 2025

The coveted Legends of Leisure Trophy (Previous year known as pub Olympics), is the start of a new annual tradition at round table. We challenge other Tablers within our area (west riding) to come and compete in ridiculous pub games and nonsense to determine just who...are the legends of leisure.

This year came with a facelift, new trophy, new events, catering and daring feats of mildly entertaining activities. Hosted and catered by The Royal Oak in Halifax (Thank you guys for making this event a truly special evening, the grub was 10/10!).

The events included but were not exhaustive of...Bowling, Punch machine, Dominoes, Snap (classic!), Play your cards right, Cock in a cup (or swinging Johnson's), Ring hook, Beer pong & Beer Cradle.

Our Challengers duked it out, blow for blow. Tablers from everywhere in our Area, roaring and ready to go. Ultimately we have retained our custom and exotic trophy. Hats off to Nick Perkins of Halifax Round Table who has held on to the title for 2 years, since the events inception! Well Done Nick, true legend!

We look forward to hosting this event next year to see if we can find anymore Legends of Leisure.

To round out the remainder of this month, we were invited to the equally compelling and surprisingly elusive...Ludington Trophy. The kind gentleman at 41 club hosted and this year, beat the Tablers, fighting it out for the Trophy! Pool, Bowls, Dominoes, great community, good laughs, Pies & Peas. What more do we need in life eh?

Well done to the 41'ers! Look out next year as we wont be going easy on you!
