The Thrill of Warhammer 40K

Marching into the world of wargaming, our courageous members of the Halifax Round Table engaged in an exhilarating night of battles through the captivating tabletop game, Warhammer 40K. Known for its vast and dystopian lore, the game presents a universe that is both grim and thrilling, making it a perfect choice for those who seek an intense gaming experience. The battles were not merely games; they were strategic contests that demanded cunning, teamwork, and an understanding of the deep lore that underpins this expansive universe.

A Night of Tactical Skill and Camaraderie

More Than Just Gaming: Community EngagementUnder the insightful coaching of the ever-wonderful Yusuf at Evolution Games in Halifax, our members were treated to an unforgettable event where tactics and strategy ruled the night. The guidance provided by Yusuf was essential for both new and seasoned players, enhancing the overall experience of what was already a pretty electrifying evening. In addition, the presence of a veteran regular, humorously referred to as the "Emperor of Pity," or Neil, provided invaluable insights into the strategies that define success in this challenging and intricate game.

2026 Steve Burns Poker Event (Area 9)

Beyond the realm of wargaming, The month of March also witnessed the area social for the annual Steven Burns Poker Tournament. This event is aimed at raising both cash and awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Graciously hosted by Halifax's own Regan Dickenson and Rotherham Round Tables Liam Twigg, showcasing the community spirit that underpins the Tabling community. One of our own members ventured into the arena of professional poker, bluffing his way to an early exit, a testament to both skill and luck.

The Tablers that came along have left a lasting memory of community and brotherhood that i hope persists for many decadesto come. These lads certainly know how to throw down some cards!
