Sleigh Ride Adventures in Halifax

This year, Santa Claus has decided to spare some of his precious days from Mrs. Claus to ensure that the spirit of Christmas reaches every corner of Halifax and its surrounding areas. The newly decorated sleigh has made appearances across the town, delivering joy wrapped in a cheerful bow.

As families line the streets, they are greeted not only by Santa himself but also by an array of festive Round Tablers. The chaos of excited children, joyful laughter, and the occasional barrage of sweet and chocolate from our cheeky Santa.

The holiday season is an enchanting time of the year, filled with joy, cheer, and a sprinkle of magical chaos. In Halifax, as Christmas Day approaches, the excitement envelops the city, and the annual Christmas sleigh becomes an emblem of holiday spirit. Families gather, children eagerly await, and the whole community buzzes with anticipation, turning the street corners into festive wonderlands. In addition, we get to raise funds for wonderful causes such as this years charity of choice; Forget me not Children's Hospice https://www.forgetmenotchild.co.uk/

Our Liaison at the Hospice, Imogen, Was truly one of the kindest people you could meet. She even braved coming to one of our business meets in the cold to give us tonnes of support and aid. Our Chairman, Luke, went on a tour round the hospice after our Santa Sleigh event and got to saw all the great work the hospice gets up to.

A Community United in Festivity

The charm of Halifax during the Christmas season lies not only in the decorations and festivities but in the bonds forged among its residents. The annual Christmas event encourages unity and camaraderie among the community members, forging friendships that carry beyond the holiday season. Local businesses joined in cheering us on, offering their support through delicious treats! Thank you to Social by Distinct Coffee for keeping us and folks enjoying the sleigh, fed and warm!

We were also fortunate enough to be sponsored by Home Heating Hub & West Mount Vets which enabled us to rebuild this years sleigh and contribute to the running of the event. Thankyou for your sponsorship, it enabled us to do some real good for the community of Halifax and West Yorkshire!

The Sleigh itself could not run without the generosity and horsepower delivered by Stonelake of Halifax. Thankyou for being the brilliant folks you are!

Witnessing the delight in people’s eyes as they engage in this yearly tradition is a heart-warming experience that speaks to the spirit of Christmas but in conclusion, despite any potential chaos, the Christmas sleigh in Halifax remains a pillar of joy, cheerful gathering, and community spirit. As Santa travels the streets, his presence instils hope, warmth, and an abundance of cheer, reminding us all of the true essence of the holiday season. Embrace the Christmas magic this year and enjoy the festivities that make Halifax a remarkably festive place to celebrate.

A Special Thankyou

We would be remiss to mention that one of our Halifax Tablers Mr Gary Seddon, pushed this years contribution even further and managed to get a matched donation of £800 in addition to what we raised. Hats off to Gary and the extra good that cash will do for the folks at Forget Me Not Hospice!

Tangents festive fundraiser

Thankyou to the wonderful Women of Tangent who helped us this year on street collections. We are over the moon that you managed to do good in the community also, raising funds and awareness for Ray of Sunshine Campaign https://www.chftcharity.co.uk/our-amazing-appeals/ray-of-sunshine-campaign
